stiff clutch n brake

on my GTE,the clutch and brake pedals are fairly stiff,well,harder to push down than the 1.2s by a fair bit,and they seem to have a hooj flat spot the first bit you depress them down with,any ideas over how to sort it?-it hasnt long had a new clutch fitted,but the car has been stood a while,can someone please help?-will it free off with some use?

clear repeaters,lowered and more performance in the pipe line :)

you can take up the slack on the brake pedel it shows how to do it in the haynes
as for the stiff clutch add some halfords vinal and rubber lube

and that will sort it?-nice one,fed up of having the biting point really high,does my head in!

or new clutch cable can solve a stiff clutch
