If can insure, and have the cash, go for 14se head, good cam, twin 40 carbs, 4-1 manifold and full system.
And then a full RR setup.

That leaves up at about 110bhp.

True apart from head and electronic fuel pump i have got exactly that and i have been rolling roaded at 113 bhp i wouldnt have used a 4-1 though a 4-2-1 is better or is it:)

is that a 14se head with headwork?

Std 14se head/\
Doesn't really need working, it flows well and has much larger valves than 1200/1300 heads.

I have a similar spec to what i listed(albeit in pieces atm) and was hoping for about 110-115bhp.

Also remember tho, it will "never" be quick enough and you'll always want more power, which is why its easier start with a powerful engine in the first place.
