i have got a dilemma now.....

i am fitting some gte skirts, however i currently have some rub strips

i have heard some body has seen one with both fitted, has any one got pictures of this?

should i do it? i know i would have to cut the flaired bit of the skirt down.

or should i just remove the strip? only thing i am scared about taking them off is a noticable difference in colour and getting the glue off i have got red t cut though!

comments please!!!...

When I fitted some to my SR I cut the rubbing strip rather than the skirt.

Will try to find a pic.

I'd have either one or the other as the ones that have both skirts and the rub strips look awful.

if you remove the strips then carefully peel them off and then use a hairdrier to remove the glue and all the sticky stuff. and a bit of white spirit or simular.

then a good amount of t cut/polish should bring the paint to a good match.

imo, id would losse the strips in favour of the skirts, much better i think, but, hey its your car so do what you like, lol. just dont go for both as it looks a bit much

I think it can look OK, just cut the corner of the rub strip accurately so it follows the skirt outline exactly.
