go with direct line cos u can go on ur parents whilst gettin ur no claims. i did that and my moped insurance carried over so now with 3 years no claims im on my own for an sr nova for ?400 and its quicker than all the local gsi/gtes cos the engine is in such good nick so if i were u id do ur car up and drop a bigger lump in in the future - stick with the novas

Try Elephant or Admiral with your dad as a second driver.

Don't bother with Direct Line as their second-driver-earns-NCB scheme won't be honoured by other insurance companies; and if its YOUR car, then putting your dad as the primary driver is insurance fraud.

TBH just clean it up for a year or two so it's ready for future tweaks. (modified = higher insurance)

I wish young drivers would realise that they will pay quite high premiums even on poverty spec motors until they build up some no claims.

The majority of new drivers have some sort of crash within the first 6 months.

Just shop around, find the cheapest you can and lump it!

The insurance game has changed massivly over the past few years. Most new drivers are on silly premiums.
