cut the springs and you may as well remove the front wheels and just plonk the sump on a skateboard. In fact, thats rude to skateboards!

Don't cut them; not only will the car handle like a drunk elephant, it weakens the springs. And you don't want the springs snapping when you go round a corner.

Second hand spring sets can be bought fairly cheap anyway.

it will help you to crash, thats all that needs to be said

pluss they nack your shocks and if you do it really dodgy they end up bounce through the wing (only happened once)

If you do this... you don't deserve to have a license.

Do things properly... it might cost more money but its better for everyone in the long run.

adam, i cab to check through, so this is your final warning regarding text typing (ie u instead of you and so on).

Also dont get mouthy :p

3rdly, As long as you dont crash into me, go ahead cut your springs and see what lashed up suspension does for increasing your crash chances.

have we found a new gaskell now?? lol
you might as well use jubilee clips instead of cutting them, atleast you won't have weakend them :thumb:

would jubilee clips actually work? sounds a better option than cutting them tho mate

I've never tried it but a friend did and it seemed to work as long as you space the clips evenly so the spring is not curved eg the spring still points vertical. However the ride was crap due to the springs being compressed too much on a standard spring rate instead of proper lowered springs with correct spring rates for the lowering.
tbh its complete lunacy to cut your springs especially the rear ones!! I might aswel just go out and drive my gf's nova with the rotten spring mounts lol

Dont be a tight ass adam and just buy some for about 20 quid off the bay!

buying proper springs is the ONLY safe option!

but hey you all go ahead and kill yourselves, just dont take someone else with you!
