for some reason when the server was updated it got all confused and anyone who joined pre 2001/2ish it went gaga.

I think it's to do with the old forums we used to run ... Kev developed them himself, and then when its been swapped over onto an off-the-shelf forum package (and then customised) it's muddled up some of the data.

1st January 1970, or in some servers 31st December 1969 is the Unix Epoch. Meaning the time at which the clock started ... all time since then is counted with that exact point as a reference... counting the number of seconds since then to now.

When the number reaches is maximum length (99999999999999) or something a new Epoch will be set ... 2047 or something i think it'll be.
