Right, some of you might have read that im not sure what to do with my sr`s bumpers. Basicly, there currently 17 years old, and very faded. There gray, but same parts are turning bagie/white, so there in need of some paint. But i can decided on what to do, wather to spray them matt black, gray, or gloss black? Anyone sparyed there`s? I want to keep the standered look, but think gloss would look quite smart.

Whaddya recon then?

Grey for SR bumpers... have you actually tried using something like Autoglym bumper care? It will take a long time to get them looking good but is cheaper than spraying.... its a regular thing to do though.

I used some back to black, just because i had it in the shed, but i really think there past that stage now. Like i said, some bits are bagie/white.

Re-paint then.

A few options...
1. pay for a bodyshop to do it (best results)
2. rub down, undercoat and do yourself with rattle cans (finish dependant on preparation)
3. something I've been testing this week... using hammerite smooth on bumpers etc.... (early indications show this might work well but need to see what its like long term)

If you paint them yourself clean them before you start with cellulose thinners a few times to make sure there's no silicone on them. I did this with mine as I'd been using bumper-care on them for a while and had no problems with the paint sticking.
