MK1 clocks in MK2 Dash

Hey peeps, hope ur all cruising a good summer, well at least what we have seen of it! Anyways, the question I have is, will the mk1 clocks fit into the mk2 dash? the mk2 clocks have bits sticking out where it can be screwed in but the mk1 clocks dont! Has anyone done ths and if so how? Any help appreciated.

I just wacked my in, its a pretty snug fit and the surround holds it in ne way. just be careful if its not a like for like swap coz i wired it up wrong and my battery didnt charge, just because 1 wire was in the wrong place. arrrr pain in the arse but i love it! :)

they fit fine just make sure u use the mk1 locations on the plug
