Hi, will pretty much any bucket seat fit in my nova? or do i have to be carefull about width because i know there isnt an awfull lot of room width wise. is there a particular choice of seat for most nova owners? i want none reclining ones, and they are 2 go in a mk2 1.2, any help much appreciated as i am new here. cheers!
The availability of subframes or the ability to make your own is more relevant than the actual seats.
I'm not aware of any of the usual offerings that don't fit.
yeah as said, subframes are the issue not the seats

ok cheers for that, does it matter whether i go for universal subframes or proper nova ones? any problems i may encouter etc etc? ? ?
Nova ones will probably use the origional runners, universal will probably be a pain to fit. Can't say myselft having never fitted them though, but its a nightmare with most universal things.

i bought a pair of bucket seats that already had nova subframes on them, went i put them in the car they were far to high up so you might have to watch out for that.

What brand were they (Cobra/Corbeau/whoever)?

they were corbeau.
yeah tailor made sub frames use the original runners, my Sparco ones do
as for the seat being really high up? may possibly have been corsa runners then, as corsa's have a thingy on them to adjust seat high ;)
my buckets in the nova are actually quite low down tbh, about 2inch (id guess) lower then standard seat high
i know that monaco s' wil fit which are produced by cobra, i also know that corbeau clubmans will fit aswell as sparco revs and sparco evos. I think that some of the OMP range should fit aswell. All of which are non reclining.
I would also recoment getting some harness' as when buckets are used with the standard belts they cause a lot of rubbing and tearing on the shoulder supports so thats some thing you will want to consider aswell

i have had some cobra monaco buckets in mine for about 3 years now. i bought them with custom subframes that bolt straight to the floor. was advised only to get sliding subframes and not tilting as was told they had problems with the mechanism. i doubt they would tilt forward much anyway as they sit fairly high. there is about 3-4 inches between the seats at the widest point (shoulder height)
also worth mentioning is that on mine it was an undignified squeeze to get through to the backseats that had passengers moaning. (so threw seats away :) )
very comfy seats tho, even on long journeys.
