It's what the ladies love.

Probably bigger than my GTE battery.

Amps required for cranking (power) is not the same as Amp-hours (battery capacity).

cranking current will be about 150-200amps.. on higher compression/higher capacity engines it will be more.

The company who makes Varta (sp?) batteries have a feature on their site where you put in the car and the details of that cars battery come up.

dont worry guys and thanks for your help

the reason i wanted the info is that i was gonna help a m8 out, his wifes mitzy gallant had a flat battery and was thinkin of lending him my nova one til tomoz when he got a new one.

the gallant draws 525amps  so the nova battery was well under capacity.

jobs now sorted as he's got a new one

thanks again

I heard you can crank a 1.2 with two AA's... but i would imagine one would do it.

That maybe the case but it would have to be some kind of emergency to use the AA's from my TV remote :D

Ive used dead watch batteries in the past. Just squash em in a vice & they'll get ya going.....

Must try the solar panel off an old Casio calculator, that'd probably turn it over & run glove box light (which Saxo's dont have btw) .

No glovebox light??? How do they ever find their owners manual for tyre pressures?

Our 04 clio doesnt have a glovebox light either ... but does have two interior lights, one of which can be angled towards the glovebox if required lol lol

Strangely, glovebox light wasnt high on the list of priorities.
