View Full Version : Sr 14's + spacer = 16v calipers fit?

I've searched and read that the SR nova 14's wont work because of their backspacing. But has anyone ever tried to fit them over 16v brakes with say 3mm spacers?

Really? Mine fitted ok on the saloon with no spacers and 16v brakes... close, but ok... :confused:

Just take the face of the caliper down until they fit with an angle grinder.

Isnt there two different offsets for 3 spokes... ET 49 and ET47.5

The 47.5's might fit but the 49's might not.

I got my 256x20mm ones to fit fairly easily.
Ground down, partially treated with kurust (which hadnt set when the pic was taken):

Funk me, thats close lol

My 14" black SRi steelies wouldn't fit over 256mm brakes with new discs/pads.

yep just attack with a grinder until they fit lol and the closer the better just cos it looks cool

sorry i didnt post which ones, i meant the steelies.

i would rather not attack the caliper lol. is it the rim or the "spokes" that foul?

You don't actually have to grind off all that much, and there's still loads of caliper left. Done about 3000 miles with no sign of problems and the pads are wearing down evenly. :)
