hmmmm... I've only had experience with a couple of 1ltrs and they all had 4 speed. My C reg 1.2 also had 4 speed but my H reg 1.2 has 5 speed.

In the vauxhall manuals it does offer a 5speed option. The bellhousings are different but to change the it to a 5speed aint that hard if you had the f10cr for the bits.

Some 1L's had 5spd boxes.


The 1L box is a different fitting, so you couldn't fit a box of a OHC engine.

yep the 1lt box is different and onylhs girly 13mm bolts holding it to the block lol, plus what is fitting a 5 speed to a 1lt going to achieve?

ive got a 1ltr with a 4 speed and on motorways it feels like i need to change to 5th gear

i got a 1 litre 4 speed got 60 out of 3rd (on a national speed limit road, which is 60 by the way :)) am a learner so i was scared and backed off the gas lol :P

Nah you'll get 70 out of 3rd and at a push you'll get 90 in 4th on a straight road, others reckon you'll get more than that but personally id rather not blow the engine lol

same as my 1.2 corsa breeze winter hack lol lol flat out downhill (i managed this on my driveway....honest!)

believe me its not as good as it sounds, there is absolutely no torque for 5th gear so basically its for cruising on the mway not accelerating

A corsa 1.2i(same bhp as 1L) in 5th does nearly stall the engine if you hit any kind of uphill in the road, speaking from experience,Lol.
