I'm looking for some nice mud-flaps to go onto my GTE... any recommendations?
Trying to keep it a bit cleaner in this wet weather!!
Thanks :)
Plenty to be had on ebay, although this kinda links into another thread I was about to make about flaps and skirts - as yours is a GTE I'm assuming you have sideskirts. OEM fitment flaps won't fit with sideskirts on will they?

Looking at mine they won't fit. Not sure if there was a different design avaliable for GTE/GSI models.

I was intending on fitting some rubber backed carbon available from Demon Thieves with mud flap brackets to my GTE and probably project Aspirin.
I didn't think sideskirted Novas had mudflaps from the factory?
I've fitted the standard Nova mudflaps from Vauxhall on my GSi, no problems. Can just about make them out on my feature in my sig.

I think you'd be right.

I heard skirts & flaps & came running......
No Novas had mud flaps from the factory, however fitting them is a peice of p15s.
The only issue is, on a mk1 Nova ie GTE the return lip on the rear bumper where the flap camps isnt at 90degrees to the bumper/wheel. So when fitted the kindof point back in at a slightly strange angle. The mk2 bumper isnt an issue. You will see what I mean when you fit them.
The side skirts pose no issues either as you dont screw the flaps to the skirt in anyway.
The fr causes no issues as the flap clamps to the return lip on the wing.
I'd advise the screw threads on the flaps are greased before you fit them, this will give you a few more turns on the nut & should stop them falling off after a while.
Also, the GM ones (I think are best) are listed with Vauxhall as mk4 Astra ones. They are the same fr & rear

Great stuff... My only concern would be colour match. I don't think black guards will look good against my sky blue paintwork. I've also seen some sparco ones availiable in white and blue, anyone seen these?
i have mudflaps on mine with GSi side-skirts
what about some blue sparco ones ?? everyone round here has them and they look well wiked lol

Do you have any pictures of the Sparco ones on a Nova?
Aren't the sparco ones just rectangles of plastic, which need trimming to size?

Sparco ones are just plastic that needs cutting & angled alloy brackets to screw into wings or bumpers etc. Bit ruff but slaggy, rally stylee.

What type are the ones on the bottom black GTE?
I have the same ones as on njc's nova/\
They fit a mk2 quite well and have been on over a year now.
Although i had to trim the ns/r one as it rubbed the exhaust,
Good for stopping stone chips on the wings/doors too and they look quite cool i think.

I'd say some universal ones with a GTE logo screen printed on.
easy to customise your own with whatever badges etc.
