1.4 sr conversion

hi guys i finaly after some time got my self another little nova its a little 1.0 2 door saloon in red with rust lol ive cut out all of the rust and ive managed to clean the car up a bit. ive also got a 1.4sr engine thats laying around how hard is it to convert it?

Drop the drivers side engine mount, change the coil feed as it is a resistor wire on the 1L, change the coil, Wire it colour for colour and that's about it.

Maybe a 5 speed box cr if your 1ltr has a 4 speed.

Oh yeah, I forgot that you will need a new box, as Phil found out that the fittings are slightly different on a 1L.

done this to my 1l nova needed all the sr engine mounts and the box had to run a new live from ignition to the coil and you might have to run a return pipe to the fuel tank the rest was simple stuff like extending wires to temp sensors and cutting the stop of the side of the gearstick to allow it to go in 5th ,hope all that helps.

You will need a sr fuel tank and return pipe too.

chears guys so i cant use the same fuel tank?

i used the original tank on mine just run a fuel line from the excess fuel return off the carb to the filler neck pipe and tap in there saves alot of messing around
