Would something like this be handy mate?
Yeah it would, but i was after something a bit more free.... Lol
TV did a rebuild guide last year sometime. can't remember the issue and mines 120 miles away so i can check sorry. hopefully someone else will remember

Cool, might see if i can pickup the mag on ebay or somewhere.
Just took the carbs apart to get the jet numbers etc.
Looks very straight forward to re-build them anyway.
if youve got a digi camera just take pics of each bit you take off so you can go back and look where it came from
Good point burgo,Lol.you could even do a write up for other peeps wanting to do the same
im looking to do my dellortos soon, i just baught a kit for it with new gaskets bolts nut n stuff in it.
let us know how you get on mate. also a write up could be good! ; )
its stupidly easy to do just out of intrest what are yours jetted for ?
Lew-Dellorto's use different numbers on jets etc than webers, things like 7772.9, whereas webers use F1 etc.
So i think its quite hard to compare between webers and dellortos.
Took out all the idle jets, main jets, air correctors etc.
Its extremely easy, dont even need a guide tbh, its just a bunch of screws, just do one at a time, make sure dirt or anything doesn't fall into the jet holes etc.
The jetting looks almost spot on mine.
Have got a few known good 1.3/1.4 t40 settings written down and mine are damn close to them.
Ok they wont run perfect as every engines different, but it should run and not damage anything.
Only worry is i think my air corrector might be a touch lean.
Theres a Detailed T40 carb guide knocking about, was on the Technical how to's etc.
I have it saved somewhere, it identifies every jet location, how the idle circuits etc work on weber dcoe carbs, it doesn't cover DHLA dellortos tho. Im not sure who did it but its well worth a read.
ah right i didnt no that cheers a
i'll just get stuck in when i want to do mine lol
webcon have a diagram for weber 40's on their site, its an exploded view of it including every screw etc
Ok mate, cheers.
Found a exploded diagram, fook me theres a fair few bits on them,Lol.
Anyone got any help on how to identify the carbs, to make sure there a matched set?
Is it the TIPO number that you go by?
Or the number underneath the Tipo one?
