My neighbour has a set of 14 inch cross spoke type Vaux wheels that used to be on his brothers Nova about 12 years ago. They have been sitting in his garden for the best part of 5 years and have a bit of bubbling on the suface, it looks like they've been painted in the past.
He is giving them to me F.O.C and I wouldn't mind having a go at cleaning them up and eventually respraying them. Im going to try Nitromors on them to remove the paint, then use a drill and wire brush attachment to remove the corrosion before painting them? I can spray, Im just unsure on the prep side of things for alloy. Can anyone offer up any helpful advice which might make it a better job?

Just prep it the same as a car panel/ bumper etc.
Make sure any corrosion is removed, fill any deep scratches.

Then key the whole area, prime, paint, laquer...
