Dangerous maybe, much like running a cage with people in the back.

Yeah, I agree. The accident in plymouth that killed 2 rear passengers, the cage contributed.
A rear cage on its own won't help much, apart from looking cool. A cage could be custom made quite easily if you can find a competent fabricator

dont fit a half cage, if you are doing a job its worth doing it properly. Half cage will do more warm than good, but if you dont listen then make sure you dont carry rear passengers.

fit any full cage mate. I would avoid making one as they are very difficult to get the bends right and might and up costing you more that just buying one off the shelf.

You can pick up a brand new OMP 6-point cage with door bars from Ebay for about ?350 but I have seen a few of these and teh fit isnt very tight. Or keep a lookout for a 2nd hand Safety Devices cage for similar money but they fit perfect (well mine have anyway).

why do you want a cage AND rear seats?

the two dont work (unless for road rallyng but then you NEVER carry passengers)

a "lose" cage needs tailoring to the shell anyway so thats not an issue if your fitting it properly.

i prefer the option of being able to carry sum1 if needed but mainly because i only got my rear seats retrimed and prefer the look of back seats to the striped out racer if you get me??

dont bother with a cage then...... either do it "the right way" or dont do it at all.....

would you like to have a mate in the back, then crash, and due to the roll cage being there he cracked his head open on the bars (which wouldnt happen if it wasnt there)?

as i said already i prefer the look of the back seats but i do understand your point and have thought about that already, what full cage would you recomend while keeping the seats in??
