1.3sr with 1.4nv wont start

hi just signed up got 1.3sr 1984 and 1.2flair 1991 i am 17 and into novas in a big way so can someone help with a small problem . my 1.3 sr has now got a 1.4nv from an astra ,but can not start it dont know how to wire up coil please help driving my dad mad :confused: cheers dan

the coil is different from the 1.3 to the 1.4 i think, do you have the 1.4 coil and distributer?

yes changed both and got 6 pin module

this may sound abit silly but is your engine/gearbox earth ok? thats a problem i had with 1 of mine.

there should be three wires goin to the coil ,

black - use the one from your old coil
brown - earth this to gear box earth
green - use this for your rev counter

also have you got the mini loom which goes from the moduale to the dizzy

yes put new earth strap from gearbox to chassis
