When im braking lately im getting a scraping noise coing from the front of the car somewhere. Since its been happening ive noticed no difference in the braking proformance. Ive had the brakes checked twice and they are ok. What else could it be?

i saw in "car mechanic" mag that some one bourght cheap pads and one had a nut embedded in the friction material and that was scraping on the discs. needless to say the disc was screwed. just a thought

Check ur front wheel bearings - knackered ones can cause the calipers to scrape on the discs
