I dont know Oxford but if I could pick you up somewhere along the main road through (A34??) like a sevices or garage then that'd be do-able.

I go M5 onto M4 east bound. get off M4 @ J13 IIRC (Oxford) & head North on A34 & then M11 is it for 1 junction & the A43 into Northampton.

Thats all from memory so I reserve the right to rename major roads & junctions for my own pleasure.

Im hoping for a lift myself. However if that fails. It may be worth my while taking lifts and still going. Could you get to mine in the morning or are you totaly without transport?

I also noticed someone on MIG wanting a lift from Bristol as well.

I've got transport in the form of a Nova TD that badly needs a service.

Its Coolamasta that needs a lift from MIG.

Just leave a reply here & PM me a mobile phone no if you are interested & I'll get in touch. Would be sound if its a goer.
Thanks

craig green
19-01-07, 04:08 PM
LOL yeah.

I dont mind driving 9 hours, its just my main car isnt on the road & the TD really does need a service as I havent got a foggiest who did it last.

If I felt better about the TD then I'd be there like a shot & offer a lift to anyone that wants one. I'll still contemplate it worse comes to worst.

draper
21-01-07, 07:34 PM
well most of the 4x4 boys were just going sideways which was fun to watch but not very good for times - really hope i can get mine done next week and set some times

Dar
21-01-07, 07:40 PM
Yup it was very slippy out there. Not the best time to try of a PB :D
Although my mates cars both around 300bhp had tramping problems. This is not hobos trying to camp in the boot for those who are thinking along those lines.

It looked slippy once you broke traction, but that glue seemed to grip well once you got it back again. So the surface looked like it either gripped or didn't. Not that variable like on normal tarmac. Mind you that glue stuff smells like sweeties, yum!

They were the boys I was with. I was passenger in the Fiesta. We have to have a look at it some time soon to see whats wrong with the rear. Fast little thing. Although neither cars ran anywhere near what they should have. It was their first time and I think their last. Both enjoyed the journey home more:wtf:

Cold i agree, i ended up running a 16.4 myself so i cant wait to get the omex fitted next month. good to see some of you.

Lee
21-01-07, 09:31 PM
Yeah, and when i launched an almighty bang came from the passenger side hub, i thought id done a CV or something.. coasted in 2nd, and then booted it in third. Got a 16.5 ish, and Mark Watts thought it was hilarious and suddenly im a legend who cant drive 1/4 miles LMAO

My PB is 14.3 in th blue car and that was without a diff on cold tyres = wheelspin halfd way through 3rd gear, so not all bad. Might take the green one up next summer and try to clear my name lol

Anyway, i did see a white SR that sounded like it was on carbs pootling through the pits, other than that, spent most of the day in the van getting warm lol

kronk10
21-01-07, 09:37 PM
i cant wait till you get the management sorted out it will be very fast once sorted.

And bt you were nice and warm while most of us were freezing ''how vary dare you'' and i wasnt pootling i was dootlinglol
