Can you fit a fuel pump the wrong way round on a 1.2 on the left hand side i have a thick metal pipe and on the right hand side i have a thin metal pipe. If you can understand my gibbering please help

if u can i dont think it would make any diffrence to performance unless u had the fuel lines on totaly wrong

As long as the hoses are the right way round, else u'll be pumping ur fuel from ur carb back to the tank lol!!!!
