are gte/gsi ones bigger than a 1.2 carb one?? or am i just bein a spazz

Quite possibly. I know my GSi (E16) had 2 options for length. Why not buy 2 & return the one you dont need.

Statutory rights & all that.

cos i dont have a car so that would mean having to walk to town and back twice so bugger that lol

Surely walk to town once (buy 2) walk home & fit.

drive to town & return......

theres always the options of hitch hiking &/or stealing a bike!

if the alternator belt was the only problem id drive up there and get one but ive just put the lump in it and noticed the belt ive got dont fit so thought i would just make sure i wernt bein stupid

Theres always a couple different length ones in halfords.
Can't you "make" it fit? Lol

Halfords list 2 lengths in the book for a GTE/GSi IIRC. I'm sure I bought the wrong one first time for my GSi.

The big motor factors in town here has two altenernator belts listed for the 12ST, I bought both, the longer one fitted.
