It failed  on the hazard switch, emmisions and brakes imbalanced.

The emmisions co level was 5.28 when it needs to be 3.50. does anybody

know where the mixture screw is on the weber 32/34 to turn it down abit?

Standing in front of the car, on the right ata the back, just above the adapter plate. Mot station should set it for you, My nearest allways has.

Get them to adjust it whilst they can watch the emissions machine, as they can see exactly what its changing and get it spot on.

thats what they were doing, when the carbons decrease the hydrocarbons go up and visvera!

Ive just t-juctioned the fuel line to the fuel outlet so hopefully thats helped decrese the unburnt fuel, im going back there later to see if it has.

If the hydro's are going up it would suggest a misfire of some sort. And if its going up past the 1200 max for mot then you defo have a misfire.

Do you have a fuel pressure regulator fitted?

no pressure regulator fitted i'll going there now so will have a look at what the hydrocarbons are and tell you in a about 1/2 hour

It might be the no reg, causing it to overfuel=mis fire and high hydro's.

right when i had the mot this morning the hydrocarbons were fine and the carbon was to high! now the carbon is 3.14 which is fine and the hydrocarbons are 2920 which is horrendus.

Since this morning ive t-juctioned the fuel inlet and played about with the mixture and now its set back how it was before the mot. But still its fooked.

as the engine is jetted for a 1.4 would this cause it to over fuel?
