filter socks...

Now that i have my car back on the road nall its a 1.6 gte t40 i dont know if i should put the filter socks back on ? I like the noise but is there any advantages or disadvantages to using filters ? Cheers.

Sock ones are sposed to restrict flow.
Might be better with a pipercross type one, or a K&N bolt on.

Leave them off if you want, just hope grit or something doesn't enter the carb trumpets.....
The carbs will sound pretty much the same even with filters..

Dont be a plumb.. fit socks or filters.

Noise or the slim chance of wrecking the engine... I know which I'd prefer.
