how much can u skim off a gte head as i was thinking of gettin it done but what do you gain
are you doing it just for performance? or does it need doing?
Either way it should be done by a pro, and they will advise on how much it should go down.

well ive got a mate in the engineering department and says he could get it skimmed for 20 quid
no need to unless its warped.
plus ?20 is barely under the going rate anyway
You should get someone who has done it professionally before to do it.
Skimming will not get you any noticeable power, but cleaning the head & re-lapping the valves etc will help tons.
