c16se rebuild bits?

wheres the best place to get rebuild bits for a c16se? want all gaskets, waterpump, usual rebuild stuff:thumb:

what are the usual things to replace on a rebuild? would be having performance cams etc

A lot of local motorfactors can get bits like pistons etc.

You could replace:-
Main/Big end shells
Rod bolts
Cyl hone, new piston rings etc(Or re-bore to 1650cc?)
Waterpump, Oil pump
Head valve stem seals, re-lap valves etc.
Head Gasket set(would contain HG, inlet/exhaust gasket, headbolts, rocker gasket etc)

Are you doing the work yourself or having a shop rebuild it?

im currently rebuilding a E16SE so this is what i've paid so far:

Honeing (sp?) tool - ?20
Crank grind, flywheel lightened and heavy duty shells - ?203
ARP bolts - ?47
Piston rings - ?60 (got some spare lowers if you want them)
Havent done head yet (having a nightmare, look at sig)
Gaskets, Head, all oil gaskets, pickup, pump, sump, etc - ?80
ARP head bolts - ?88
Kent cam belt - ?18
Kent cam kit - ?275

Look in the yellow pages mate, theres quite a few good engine re-con/cylinder head specialists around Stoke.

I paid a few pennies over ?1000 to have mine removed Rebuilt & then refitted.

a guy called John Perate in Henstridge (somerset/dorset boarder), was highly recommended to me got a number if you need it.

no not back yet, but he is **** hot, been doing it for 40years+ my dad used to take stuff to him when he was my age! it's just him and his son so it's all the same quality. heres the number anyway: 01063 362603
