am pretty sure you can keep the tank in but you will have to change the fuel pump. Apart from that it will go in easily.

you dont need to change the fuel tank, or the pump!

The stock 1.4 fuel pump should drag fuel through the electric pump, if not then just wire it upto a switch and put a regulator on it. Everything will be a straight swap, rip the wiring loom out for the injection but you will have to make sure you have to ignition setup off the 1.4 engine with all wiring.

Replace the intank spi pump with some fuel hose.
Then use the mechanical 1.4 pump.

Spi tank and lines are fine.

You will also need to wire about 3 wires for the 1.4 dizzy and coil.


You could rip out the 1.2i engine loom, but its a bastid of a job and you might be better just leaving it there, but unplugged.

ive done it,
left the tank as it was, put the 1.4 sr engine in, conected what would conect.
unplug the fuel pump relay by the batery. and changed the dizy for the sr one and the coil for the sr one, thers some wire cutting and fidleing to do tho. if you need halp let me know, i'll take some pictures so you can see
