Hi all!

Just about finished putting a LET / f28 combo in my Nova.

Just need to know what the deal is with the gear linkage...

Which Nova / f28 bits do I use?

I gather it needs to be shortened, but anyone know more than this? (Amount it needs to be shortened by etc)

Pictures would be great!

Rob.

The only bit you need to mad on the linkage is the bit that connects to the gearbox (see pics), think you shorten it by 30mm (can't remember tho !)

Cheers guys.

Rich; do you keep the angle the same when shortening it?

Is it the Nova bit that you shortened?

Ah thats helpful Rich mate! Will be doing mine eventually! Hopefully very soon!

If I bought a quickshift kit it replaces the ? part doesn't it? I take it you have to buy nova to?

When i shortened it i drilled & tapped it first so i could stick a bolt thru it to hold it on but so i was still able to move it, had the box in Neutral then moved the lever so the linkage sat in the right position, then just marked it then welded it up.
Hope that made sense !!

I actually sortened mine by 1 1/2" (38mm) but it sits to close to the steering rack so i reckon 30mm will be ideal.

also if your using a digi dash an this have a transducer you will need to lengthen the bottom long bit, the one that has the pin in to the mount on the gear box side. Other wise it will hit the transducer.
