Instruments!! (help)

I have a 1.2 (i know, i know, i need a different car....) and i want a 1.3sr instrument panel in the dashboard. I've already tried one plugging the existing connector block into the back of the instruments but the rev counter didn't work...

Theres also another wire coming out of the 1.3 panel, is this an earth? is this an ignition contact? what do i need to do to the panel to get it to work...?? help?

There will be two additional wires on the SR dash, compared to the standard dash.....one goes to the coil to make the rev-counter work, and the second goes to the oil-pressure sender unit on the engine (you will need one of these, as it's different to your current oil-sender), that makes the oil-pressure gauge work.
