on the look out for a 2.0 16v, found one on the web(ad trader) good condition and with 80,000 genuine miles.

it didnt say if it was an ecotech, redtop or 8/16v though so called them up(friday)
me..blah blah blah...what engine does it have? run ok?
old bid...yes runs fine. i dont know, il have found out by monday so you can ring back then

went with the old man so he could drive it back, took about 20mins to drive there, 45 on the way back(rush hour)

got there, looked like it hadnt been moved for 2 years and it hadnt!

opened the bonnet and it was a fooking 8v:mad: the car was rusty and the engine and engine bay had i nice thick layer of oil and crap on it. the paint wasnt even red, more like fadded pink!!

any way i wasnt happy! but just smiled and said its not the right car:roll:

What was an old person doing with a 2.0 8v Nova? You should have told them off for telling you it was a 16v lol

I drove 40 miles cos some divot had advertised a nova GTE fuel tank in CCC magazine, & it was for a 1.2 carb. I protested & he said would I like to bid him for it anyway, So I told him to Forklift trUCK off & cast doubt on his mothers virtue.

You should have told him its an 8v... poor bloke is probably still trying to sell it as a 16v.
