I know this is obviously a nova forum but as i dont know anyone on Corsa sport yet i thought i'd post it here, Plus you guys are always so helpful!

1st question, how easy is it to swap a 1.4 8v engine for the 1.4 16v engine?

2nd Does anyone have or know anyone that has a post 97 (facelift) white rear bumper and tailgate?

Also any advice on tuning mods would be most helpful!

Cheers guys!

should be the same !! i think ... its a 1.4 corsa engine so i am pretty sureeee that you shouldnt need to change the loom or Ecu !

Cool might be worth doing then, its the 8v thats in the nova sri's in there i think but its making a knocking noise from the top of the engine so looking to replace it, i guess using a 16v engine from a sport would be the best idea?

8v to 16v.
So you will have to change loom, ecu, manifold/downpipe is also different, so you might need change the exhaust too.

Is it worth it tho to go to 16v? For about 7bhp?

Edit-Mike beat me to it,Lol

1.4 16v's in corsa's are gutless, if going to the hassel of it, you may aswell fit the c16xe or x16xe 1.6 version, much better

Give me a good old 1.4 8v engine over a 1.4 16v anyday.
Far more low end torque and u dont have to keep it above 3k revs to get it to go anywhere. :thumb:
