full carbon shell everything!!! 2.0l turbo around 400bhp running to a rear diff and rear wheel drive. propley done so it looks like factory fitment with the engine sitting on its own, no wiring loom on show nothing apart from the lump and water bottle. outside it would have to look like a standerd silk violet gsi black speedlines thou hiding a set of 6 pot brembo brakes with 4 pots on the rear. interior full multipoint cage, normal dash bucket seats (revolutions). in car fuel cell in the spare wheel. oh and hassle free runs prefect everyday never to breaks down or go wrong. thats about it really not much to ask lol

My nova complety rebuilt, shell fully rust treated, fully seam welded, full cage, stripped out rear but carpeted, bucket seats, strut braces front and rear, wide arched (probally ?????) my 1.4 tuned to the maximum (or if not a tuned 1.6) rally style wheels and mudflaps its a list that could go on but if money was no option id have a few novas with different tuned engines in 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 would be cool.

I read the 1st page of replies and thought some people really like the simple things in life and really don't think out of the box. But then Oli set it all straight.

I'd have a nova that I could drive all year round without suffering wheelspin and getting beat off the lights by a fiesta 1.1 and all nuts, bolts etc were all welded in place so I couldn't pull it apart and fiddle with it (and ultimately break something so I miss shows!).

Simps.

I take my 5 door mk 1, have all the rust taken out, the shell seam welded and a respray in the gunmetal colour its in. The same SR interior, but make as much possible lightweight. 15 inch Astra mk4 steels, decent tyres, comfortable but firm 40mm drop, the biggest 4 pots that will fit under 15s and just a healthy XE under the bonnet. I'd probably crash if I had anything more powerful, I could always work towards a LET rather than learn the hard way!

Nova.Sport's shell to take moulds from, so i can get a carbon fibre shell made up to go over a nice light spaceframe chassis, OR a decent shell with no floor in it to go over a home-brew spaceframe, like the escort PPC did last year.

Lightweight Nova shell with a 1 peice billet aluminium front end (consisting of chassis legs & cross member with a modular fr panel) bonded & bolted to the std bulkead. The rear end would also consist of a custom independant suspension setup. Remote reservoir coilovers all round with damping control all programmed by laptop.

Engine would be a QED alloy blocked LET conversion with tubular equal length manifold & roller bearing turbo with trick forged pistons & Autronic management. Full 3" titanium exhaust. Brand new F28 w/one off Quaiffe SC CR cogset.

Bodywork would be GSi bumpers & I have no idea on colour. Maybe Black.

Wheels would be Battleship Grey 6.75" one off forged alloy lightweight Speedline Chronos or similar. brakes would be ceramic discs & alloy 4 pot calipers & similar at the rear. Corsa servo conversion. Some form of power steering, prob EPAS with a Kwik rack.

Interior would be of a TVR std. Trimmed leather & Alcantara Recaro buckets, chromed FIA approved cage with matching Alcantara headlining & mk2 dash covered in leather to match seats, Stack dash. Door cards also trimmed to match with lightweight Kenwood HQ speakers. Lots of brushed alloy & real carbon fibre.

If i had time id like to try a seat 1.8 16v turbo in a nova. The 225 engine used in the cupra R. Ive thought about this for the past 12 months but couldnt justify spending the dosh. Not really looked into the suitability but just a thought.

The shell would be wide arch of course with fibreglass and kevlar and carbon where ever useable, Wide tracked.
Anti lag and a remap and some other goodies. just the basic jist of a deluded thought. hMmm

my perfect nova i am going to build. mk1 red sr black mk1 bumpers and vinyl white 14 " compomotives with slicks seam welded shell and bay ekcentric top mounts ect maybe wide track havent looked into it though. 1600 on twin 40 dellortos, piper bp300 cam extensive headwork, bored out to 1650 and completley rebuilt ashley 4-1 system f13cr with a diff and differnet final drive. shell to have half a dash 2 seats and a six point cage plus strut braces ect possibly rear turret mod. hi spec brake conversion. that lot should take me a fair old time and take a fair old but if time to save up. if money was no option the only extras would probably be straight cut quaife box and some management and different dizzy ect.

Buy the best shell that I could, and ship it to Vantage Vauxhall where Fearless works. Full panel, nut and bolt rebuild from scratch, Pilbeam works suspension, AND AIRBAGS FOR ULTIMATE DROOP/DROP WHEN AT A STANDSTILL, Porsche 4-pot calipers with 288mm discs (ft) Golf 16v rear calipers and 239mm discs (rear), Epas power steering, GSI dash re-made in carbon fibre, carbon door cards, leather-trimmed Cobra Suzuka Technology leather seats, alcantara carpeting, 16-point multi-x weld in roll cage STANDARD GSI bodywork, incl. carbon fibre side skirts with visible weave re-sprayed in VW Deep Blue pearl (R32 colour) with stubby mirrors, concealed exit exhaust, Image RFX 7x15" split-rim alloys with colour-coded centres and highly polished rims.

IN fact, the only problem I'd have would be deciding on an engine.....
