Identification help please

Right, got a **** load of 1.6 8v stuff of a mate that uses these engines in his Rally car. He has given me a MPi Head, possibly Mk4 Astra??

I intend on this set up to fit on a C16SE Block, loom etc?? Its a GSi Engine but the head wet pair shaped so it and for some reason the injection sysem is gone. Will all fit? I know the inlet looks different, but i also have a GTE setup, Brain, 2xLoom, 2xInjection system, well everything bar the engine.

Also, i got 2 sets of each of these, whats the difference, and which will suit the engine better?

He's aslo given me 2 Steel Cranks and 2 pairs of Pistons from 2 ****ed engines, not too sure on ow they came to be ****ed, bin them or keep them?

the head looks alright, compared to mine (http://www.novaload.net/forum/showthread.php?t=72037&page=3 - the smaller one)

Dont know if the nova ECU will run the astra MPi tho, not a clue on the rest of it.

I have the brain frm the GSi Nova to run the MPi but will it run this injection system??

i guess if you use the nova gsi loom and ecu the it would, might need to check the injectors tho for differant flow rates. i guess the fuel rail is built in to the inlet? failing that, i have a GSi inlet manifold with everything, untested tho.

Fit the GTE inlet/rail etc.
And then use the GTE ecu.

The head should be the same/similar to a GTE one.

Wip the inlet off make sure there round ports.

No they are the same as the GTE items as its a GTE Exhaust manifold i'll be using. Is the GTE loom the same as the GSi item or have i to strip ad rebuild the lot?
