what is the correct size and amp battery for a 1.2? mines stuggling to release the power and sometimes fails to start! so i need a new one?
how do you mean struggling to release ???
and id regard this as a tech question so mechanical or ICE would be a better forum - just a thought

hah oops i thought it was mechanical! nevermind, when you turn the key nothing happens then it might start to turn over really slow then the next time i start it it'll be fine
is it charging properly ?? if you are gonna replace it id get a diesal battery off a vectra TD estate

yeah it charges fine
I struggle to realease sometimes!lol:p
I know what you mean our work van does it iswell, but can it be to do with the starter motor at all?
could be the starter motor drawing to much current, or if somethings draining the battery when the car is turned off
Voltage [V] 12 Battery Capacity [Ah] 40 Cold-test Current, EN [A] 360 Length [mm] 207 Width [mm] 175 Height [mm] 175Varta website says this for the 1.2 battery, although a Nova TD battery has between 70 and 75 Ah and a cold test current of 720 and 760. Im buying a TD battery for my 1.2 tomorrow, Ill let you know how it goes if thats any good mate?

have you charged this full over night for 12 hours yet , just driving round in it will not replace enough power in to it to cope with a cold morning or something similer
