please help me before i kill myself....
driving my car tuesday - everything fine, put it in garage for night - take out of garage next morning, and the brake pedal feels a bit longer than it should be - drive around for a bit and there is hardly any brakes there and the pedal is all the way down! so.. check the brake fluid i hear you all say.. already done, and its fine, so what else could have made them go suddenly like this? help ! please!

air in the brakes, you need to bleed them. have you messed about with them recently like changed the pads or taken the callipers off or anything ?

no, thats the thing, i haven't, they just went like it over night. i cant find anything wrong with the hydraulic system, the calpiers/pads/ discs are fine, the only thing i think it could be is a problem with the servo, but how can i find out without buying a new one?

I think its more likely to be master cylinder. There's a good bit in Haynes about brakes with a full fault diagnostic run down at the rear of the brake section.
