1.4 ignition & cam into 1.2??

I have got a 1.4 SR carb engine and i am running a 1.2 merit carb if i swapped the carb,cam (ive heard the 1.4 SR cam is the best standard) and the ignition side of things e.g. dizzy, advance, ignition coil, leads and anything else i must need..would this give me any increase in performance?

why dont you just put the 1.4 engine in it? and get alot more performance

because the big end bearings have gone and its drinkin oil propa bad im only having this 1.2 for the meantime untill i can find a gte or gsi lump
