There is a lad at work that claims his 1.2 Corsa maxed out at 135mph with 4 mates in the car, i have tried so hard to get him to come clean and admit that he's lying but he wont budge apparently "i know f*ck all about cars"

so i decided to post this up so that you can all abuse him and call him a c*ock that way he will then know that not only does everyone at work think he's a c*ck but so do half the web as well! (i'll wait till this has a few replies then show it to him)

Oh and as a little insentive, when i said i'd show him up him in the nova he laughed and said that all nova's were **** and people that drive them are wan*ers and that his 135mph 1.2 would pi*s all over my 1.6 Nova!

You can assure him that firstly speedos are inaccurate escpecially older vauxhall ones - secondly I only just managed clock my Stripped XE nova at 139mph on GPS (indicated 155) and if he wants to come and try out his corsa against me then im sure we can all laugh even more at him. ;)

i've had my c14nz on 185 km/h (about 115 mph), and that's it, it would't go any faster. in 4th gear, switching to 5th wouldn.t help, so back to 4th gear, but 115 was his max.

My nova gte only does 110 thats at 6500 rpm dont fancy driving on the redline so have no idea where hes got that from.

a friend of mine thit that, he had everything ready to put his c20xe in his nova, so he gave the 1.2 hell, and it wouldn't break down. in the end the just drained all the oil, and replaced it with old gearbox oil, a stick on the gaspedal, an let it rev, huutuuutuuutuuu :D :D

I tried to tune a 1.2i with some nitrous but it didnt go to well, if we hadnt of killed the clutch on the 50bhp shot i would have got it up in 5th gear and fired the 200bhp shot, now that really would have made a mess.

Also my corsa will do just over 150mph banging off the limter in 6th gear and i have an extra gear than him, a turbo and nitrous . He's more than willing to race me to prove me wrong though.

Ha ha, 1.2 racings where its at lol Its a bit of git going from a 3 litre BMW, to a 1.2 Nova, but you have to have your fun somewhere, especially when you have Chinese food to deliver! My 1.2 struggles to top 100 on the dials, I can't imagine what the real speed is, probably not enough to trigger a motorway Gatso!!

I work with a lad with a standard S reg 1.0 12v Corsa,recons he's had 115 out of it and that wasn't flat outlol ,pointed out that i had a 1.4 16v Sport years ago and that did 115 flat out with a magnex system,de-cat and piper-X vector filter:wtf: ,from experience 12v corsa's dont like to go much over 80lol
