View Full Version : Mk1 or Mk2
Right, i have 2 nova's both are fairly shagged.
1 is a 1.3 sr GTE rep which i will be using the engine from as the has more holes than a siv.
The other is a mk2 GSI rep 1.2spi which has been my main car for a year now (although i cant drive!lol)
So what i was wondering is should i GTE rep my GSI rep or leave the GSI rep as it is with the sr engine in?
I like both but its just a bit of a hard decision, wouldnt be so bad if they were the same colour then i could change back if i didnt like it but its going to be reprayed.....
What does everyone think, any convincing pictures???

ok - heres a suggestion as im not after either of your bumpers! lol
why dont you get the gte kit painted the same colour as the gsi then if you fancy a change one week you can swap em over whenever you wanted, would also confuse the **** out of the local chavas
siv.

Good to know there are helpful people like me around here aint it mate lol
MK1 exterior and MK2 interior! FTW
Oh yeah, sexual harrasment panda - good call lol I remember that south park ep. lol
Chop the grilles and bumpers in half, then glue back together - have one half of the front end a Mk2, the other half a Mk1. lol

mk1
Too many mk2s around for my liking. having mk1 bumpers on a J or K reg just gains more points!

Decent mk1's are thin on the ground.... some muppet mk2'd my GTE so I ripped it all off again.

ill buy ya spoiler 15 quid go and post it now hahahahahh
All I can say is mk1 is the original design, mk2s are also made of thinner metal and rust worse. Some say its a myth but ive had an a,b,c and d-reg and all have only had the tiniest of rust spots on them.
I nearly bought a j-reg but when I looked under the bonnet I walked away! lol
Heres my a-reg: http://www.pvgevents.net/forum/uploads/1166802354/med_gallery_1261_60_26172.jpg
Lovin the oldschool A reg, and i like the bump strips on the side too looking ace.
Is that the irmy apron?
smooth the mk1 bumpers and fit to the mk2, but with the mk1 lights, etc. maybe leave the top of the bumper black. stick up a pic of the mk1 and i'll 'shop it.
Ash
lol @ jacks idea of half mk1 halk mk2 anyone want to photoshop that lol
but seriously , it depends on the reg , if it is a mk1 then leave it , if it a mk2 then leave it
i know i mk2'd my mk1 but that was only cos it got crashed into and i could only get mk2 pannels
but now i think that people shouldnt change anythin on them even the dash (yes the mk1 is horrid but it suits it)
No its the early sr splitter/apron, personally the bump strips and the door bottoms need to be painted up grey when the weathers better as im doing a replica sr.
You might have seen my old yellow sr in TV last year, it was the crashed one with the gte engine and a big V in the front
