Following on from this post (http://www.novaload.net/forum/showpost.php?p=604369&postcount=25)... So here I am, getting an on-line quote on HIC website.

I fill in some mods:

And up pops my quote, that's all nice and acceptable:

But one day Iain decides to fit a rollcage, uh oh, insurance is going to go crazy!

But wait! It hasn't changed!

I don't think they don't need to, you can agree to and buy the quote straight off the website. Think that's what I did for my blue one.

Just thought I'd prove I'm not a filthy liar lol

maybe for YOU its no extra but other people in other areas etc that might have it increased. Insurance seems to be a total lottery really.

Thats a bit steep :p

Does it go on the value of mods? As listed every single possible thing I could think of doing to the Saloon, compared to the basic few mods, and it made sod all difference to my quote lol

Yeah it's slightly steep for a 1.4, I've got my 1.2 insured with them for ?550. However I'm 19 and still in the getting-screwed-with-insurance stage lol

Not sure what it goes on, however if you raise performance over ~10bhp the premium rises accordingly.

If its a second car, try limiting the milage to under 6k, you should get a Chaucer classic car policy come up on the listing. Cheap!
