R5 4-500bhp?!

lmfao, if i was even considering making a 500bhp R5 i would have ditched the crappy little 1.4 a long time ago. You will need the volvo 1.7T and lots of money i would have thought. The 1.4's cant een cope with standard power let alone that amount. At the end of the day anything is possible with enough money.
350bhp is the most ive seen with the 1.4 and that wasnt very reliable at that.

2L Turbo engines cost enough to make about 400bhp, never mind a crap old 1.4 push rod engine.

yes i think thats the one, its fits in very nice and is 1000 times better than the 1.4. How ever i would rather have the volvo with 500bhp. The ulitmate volvo i would want is an old 240 saloon with a monster spec t5 engine in. Now thats what you'd call a sleeper lol

340s can be picked up for next to nothing, are built like a battleship and some come with leather, leccy windows and heated seats! I 'enjoyed' my one too much, but it had done 150000 on its second engine and original gearbox. ?70 well spent. I like the idea of 480 turbo-ing one though.
