As far as im aware, gearboxes dont use any petrol.....

lmfao, big V6 + big barge of a car = lots of fuel. My equation isnt very accurate though.

I think there are differing levels of the GSi Vectra (2.5, 2.6 etc etc) so depending on that would determine what gearbox is used...


But first off id say there a 5 speed and probably ok on petrol just like any car if you drive it like a granny (but hands up who would drive it like a granny ??)

2.5, 2.6 and 3.2 are all 5 geared according to Parkers.

My mate's dad had the 2.5 V6. Sold it as it was costing him too much in fuel, I think on a good day he'd get about 18-20mpg lol

I can get 30-35mpg on a run with the auto V6... The vectra is a heavy car and get less on average 20-25. Are you looking at the car or the gearbox to go on one of yours.

im not looking to buy my bro was/ is thinking of getting one, he has the 1.8 which is fast enough but just boring and scray as in standerd
