steering

my car has now developed a clunking noise when i'm sat at standstill and rock the steering wheel.

i have been told this is worn joints on the steering column,

Does anyone know how much these are and the part numbers??

apparently if i dont get it sorted i will loose steering???

Errrrmmmmm, well, dunno if it helps but...

My car has exessive play on the steering, i mean really bad, i have been told that it should be ok, but of course i am gonna change it, anyway, i have been told 15 quid for a recon rack, which for that price, u might as well replace?

I aint got mine sorted yet, as i am saving up for a quickrack which is around the 100 mark.

mine was awfull and i changed everything cept the rack

Mine did the clunkin` at standstill, just tightened the rubber joint to column bolts (13mm head) foocking tight and it`s gone!!;)
