im sorry but if your going to the trouble of boring it and putting a cam in then you would at least get a decent air filter lol

automatic choke = yes
rev limiter = yes

an over bore to that extent wiffs a bit of idle-boast though.

ps. choke depends on the year. my G reg had an auto choke.

I always thought older cars had no limiter, oh well guess you learn soemthing new every day, whats it set at then and how is it ''delimited''?

My E reg nova sr, didnt have a limiter and it was manual choke.

unless you're flat out in 5th you shouldnt ever hit the limiter and find out where it is ... you should know where on the rev range your power peaks and change gear when you get there :D

I hit 8k in 2nd when i missed 3rd, dont think the limiter would be set that high! lol

i didnt think they had rev limiters either i thought it was valve bounce that stopped you revving any higher

I always thought only ecu'd cars could have a limiter?
I know my nova sri had a limiter cos i used to bounce off it all the time. lol

Steering wheel is definately on the p*ss!

I didn't think the carb models had a limiter either, my mate's old E reg SR didn't have one but did have an autochoke.

And is it possible/safe to bore a 1300 to 1500?!

Also... has that got a std poverty spec rear bumper on it? I thought SR's had a slight flare in the lower valance (similar to the GTE)

p.s. Didn't realise Subaru made Novas lol

Jack, sr's had a standard poverty spec rear bumper.

lol yes sr's would of had the pierburg 2e3 auto chole carb

and carb novas dont have rev limiters unless you fit one and there usually set about 6800 on a std vaux ecu

the limter they speak of is the valves bouncing their tits off lmfao, you could probably get it to 1500cc but only you change the stroke. If its just been boerd to that then the cylinder walls must be waffer thin lol. And you have to ask your self why.

You can get a 1998 to about 2300cc by stroking it but that cost silly money. (got bored one day s went through the QED cat and worked out how much you cuold get out of it.)

actually the 1.2-1.6 is near enough the same block so i cant see why not, im sure on the strokes and bore sizes on them all though

the guy is obvisously an idiot. he would of had to strip that hole engine down to big bore it! its a lie. even if for some strange reason he has boared it out, then i dought the bottem end bearings are any good still.he could of done an engine conversion for cheaper and that stearing wheel looks like its guna fall off!

Do you reckon that steering wheels been in either that car or another and had a crash (the impact being enough to bend the wheel)? It could just be the funny offset wheel angle playing tricks with the camera mind.

When this guy bought the car he was probably told what had been done to the engine, and believed it - so now he's selling it he is listing all the things he was told when he bought it.
