When you buy the carb ask them what cars is come from! If its off a nova all inletsneed a adaptar plate so ask if you can but that aswell!

If you didnt know Timmy has 65bhp from his 1.2 with his Weber.

65bhp is good for a 1.2.

How much horsepower again Timmy?lol

am i right in thinking that the return petrol pipe needs to be blocked up. Also will t40s be a better option because i have seen some cheap ones on ebay and some manifolds for 1.3s and i could transfer the carbs to my next engine, or are they a bit too over fueling etc for a 1.2

i think thats what i will do then, my mates have now talked me into it as i didnt know how cheap they were. what figures could i see out of it just with the carbs. And is it a good idea to upgrade anything or is it just a good old service job:D

oh and am i right in thinking that the ports are square

Ports are cathedral(kind of square with rounded ends)

T40s will be fine on a 1200, if jetted and choked right.
I'd seriously consider a 32/34 tho, easier to setup, should give better mpg, wont cost on insurance and T40s dont give much gain on there own.
And a 32/34 is much cheaper.
