doe or has anyone fitted a 38 dgas to thier nova?
if so how do they perform? and how much would i expect to pay for one second hand with a 1300 inlet?
thanks jim

it would be a very very very custom inlet job. i belive the inlet mounting would need to be a bit lower then std as the DGAS is a fairly tall unit.

might be easier getting a ford inlet and hacking the mount off that and graft it onto the relevant nova inlet..

its on a mk1 astra 1.3 inlet, its already been on a nova for a season. i dont think it has the trumpets like you see on 40's either.
prices and performance wise, what am i looking at?
ive also got a P+P head and 316 cam, so hopefully this will assist

The top of a mk1 astra inlet sits quite low(level with the runners), so it should fit.

;) thought so, if it been in a nova once it should go in again :D i heard it has good torque and gives ore HP is this true?

dont see why not, i mean tis 2 38mm barrels.... kinda like running between 40's and a 32/34.

If your going to the hassle of fitting a DGAS I would look for an IDF as they are more tunable and you can run rampipes on them too! Maybe not as easy to come by as the DGAS. eBay is your best bet. PM if you need a MK1 astra inlet, I've got a few kicking around.

Saying that I'm not sure if the IDF would fit, heres a picture, you'd have to check once you have the bolt pattern for the carb and inlet!

look on rallyusedparts.co.uk ive seen a degas carb mentioned on there not sure if it is the same any way there are a couple of set ups for sale they mention that the manifold is rare though. why not contact one of those people they may split the set up or point you in the right direction

yea thanks gary, i think those IDf carbs may be too big, and womble ive been on rallyusedparts thats what gave me the idea lol, theres a chap not far from me selling this degas with the astra manifold.
think i might aswell buy it, it would do the right job for the road rallying rules. ;)
