Hi, im new here, a massive fan of the Nova, but i drive a Cavalier, just working my way round the online Vauxhall communities and clubs, with my main haunt being www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk (http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/) (fully paid club member!)

I've got a set of Cavalier Turbo/V6 Brakes in the pipeline (288's Grooved and V6 Calipers), Goodridge Brake lines and also a Full Suspension Kit (-40mm)
I am also considering Powerflex Polyeurathane Bushes, Strengthened Wishbones and Courtenay Brake Cooling Ducts (the latter for when i am track bashing...)

Plus this year i am looking to sell up and either get a Genuine Cavalier Turbo 4x4, or a Nova/Corsa GSi or 2.0 XE Converted Nova/Corsa, maybe even an Nova 1.5TD for a bit of a laugh! (I have a company car, so the missus uses mine and i use it for Track Days...)

Anyway, here are some pics;

Hi all, suprisingly good reception compared to another couple of VX forums! Thanks for that first off! :thumb:

Anyways, as mentioned, i have a company car (getting a new one this year, on long term - 3yr, which maybe a Vectra SRi CDTi 150 or an Octavia vRS TDi 170) so dont need anything big, and my girlfriend uses the Cavalier as an everyday car.

She LOVES Novas, and i really like them, so we are (well I am) thinking of getting one for her to use everyday, and me to use for Track Bashing, so we are looking at the SR range or anything over 1.4 otherwise, and a TD would be great!

If she is comofrtable with the Cavalier, (and insurance isnt ridiculous) we may even get a real Cavalier Turbo 4x4, so im not going to bother too much more with this one now, just the Suspension and Brake upgrades ready for Castle Combe in April...

Oh and thanks for the positive comments on my Car :D

Come into a bit of fundage recently, so...

Bought a couple of things, and have one more to order

Namely;

- Custom 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold - Bought
- LMF 288mm 12 Groove Big Brake Kit - Ordered
- SPAX VSX -40mm Suspension Kit - To Order

Only got pics of the Manifold (after tidying and painting in Metalflake Matt Black VHT) to start with, brakes should be here in the next couple of days...

Was going to order suspension, but the clutch needed doing first, so the set has been put on hold...

Now i have a huge improvement on the Torque band compared to before, the Mnaifold has improved the Mid-Range torque a lot, and has also extended the band right up to around 6000rpm (after i normally change gear), the car pulls a lot better due to this, and it also runs a lot smoother, well worth the ?80 it cost!

Only 40mm, and the springs are yet to settle in and level out, (although i may be tweaking the rears in a week if they arent low enough for me)
