hehe lol i know some1 who has a near mint sr for sale so might buy it strip it put engine in mine and my 1.0 in the sr and sell it on lol :D but will steal leccy windows cetral locking dash etc

why not just buy the SR if its near mint and drive that :confused:

because all the time, money and effort ive spent on mine i just couldnt not drive it! Are the fuel tanks the same what about drive shafts etc all the same or?

should be a simple case of unbolting the 1.0 and bolting in the 1.4, although i think there about 4-5 wires to connect up

No, fuel tanks are different. The 1.0 tank does not have a return. Drive shafts fit into the hubs no problem, you will need to use the SR's 5 speed box and I think you need to modify the gear lever to reach 5th, but this is just a bit of cutting to the white nylon plastic part under the gaitor. All other parts just swap straight over.

As above, you'll need swap tank, and lines. And you'll need the g/box off a ohc engine.
And you will need swap the the drivers side engine mount for the one off a OHC 8v nova engine.

You just need the metal mount that bolts to the engine.
Unbolt.
