engine replacement

Has anyone ever replaced a 1.5td izuzu engine with a 1.7td izuzu engine if so did it fit straight in and did you use the nova gearbox or the cav one. Secondly wus there much of a gain in power?

If the 1.7`s come out of a cav it`s likely to be a big block engine, a right pain in the arse to fit! (don`t know for defo it is though?)

it's the same size block
but has an intercooler as in the 1.5td corsa
it's 100bhp as apposed to 68bhp in the 1.5
