View Full Version : "Universal" brake servo to inlet pipes?
Anyone know if you can get such a thing.
As my new inlet has the brake servo connection on the side(horizontal) and seeing as all nova servo pipes go to the top of the inlet, im a bit stuck as theres no pipe made to fit a astra inlet and the position of a nova brake servo.
Any ideas? Can you get sort of braided cloth servo pipes instead of plastic as the plastic just breaks when i try and bend it in a new direction  Lol

What inlet are you using?
Simps.
you used to be able to get braided vacuum hose for opel mantas from the dealer, I did but it was ages ago, get the yellow pages out & try industrial hose people
Ad, try PD Supplies on 01530 813996. I Believe that they still have a mobile service, or could post. They used to cater for all our hosing needs and could custom make anything they didn't have from stock pretty quickly
You will be able to buy it by the metre from a hydraulic/air place.
It is just reinforced vacuum hose

I got some steel braided/rubber/cloth weave stuff from Vauxhall. just jubilee'd it upto the regular fittings cut from the old plastic pipe.
It is a shame because the OE stuff looks tidy & anything else looks a bodge. The other option is to use stuff cut from other Vauxhalls & just join it up with rubber pipe sleeved over the top.

Get some spare pipes off of a car at the scrappy and get a heat gun, and carfully make your own up..
Its a mk1 astra 1300s inlet.
Might try that Austin, i have the pipe from a mk3 astra which is v. long so i should be able make it fit.
If i can't i'll have a look about for some braided cloth type thats easily bendable.
Cheers for the replies :)

Ive seen samco used before, they must do some 12mm (guess) internal dia vac pipe or similar.
That'd be the 'Gucci' way of doing it.
This should do the trick.

Just have to remove the one way valve thing out my old pipe.
