Right, I have had a lad in a F**KING 306 XT trying to race me for a week or two now. So I got behind him in it the other day but I noticed that he was pulling away from me quite strongly, as you may know this is knock in the confidence of a 1.3sr owner so what can I do to sort this porblem out. I have been told a webber 32/34 dmtl carb will suffice but I have been quoted ?260 to get one fitted and i cant really afford this at the mo - what do i do??????
HELP - I hate being beat!!!
(especially by a f**king PUG!!!)

Unless u are prepared to spend that much money u aint gonna have much luck. Start off by loosing as much weight as poss (seats etc). You could pick up a GTE engine for less than that.

when i fitted a weber 32/34 on my sr acceleration was imporved a lot u do feel the diff but u cant beat the old 40's i got my weber of a fiesta xr2 for bout 20 quid then got a fitting kit for it cause the nova has 3pins where the carb fits on to and with the weber u need four studs then just get it jetted for ur car i found this way alot cheaper

My Weber 32/34 was ?15 including the modded manifold as if came off an SR. Then, re-con kit was ?29, and it's mint.....miles quicker, and it growls :D
Better on fuel efficiency than my old carb too!
